K-Sounds began in 2000, with members Platinum and Dmac from South London, Sydenham. What started as a hobby , soon became very serious, recruiting Drastick also from Sydenham and Chaser from Peckham soon after. They began distributing music locally and rapping at house parties and youth clubs whenever possible.As their fan base grew further then just their council estates , the decision was made to make a professional approach and release music officially. This started with their underground hit single "Next up" which sold over 500 copies on white label vinyl which they shot their own stylish video with Mastermind productions. Ksounds worked hard to get their tracks on choice fm, kiss fm, and all the local radio stations . The constant radio play enabled them to target a new audience which helped build their fanbase and gave them a platform to Perform around the country. This also helped them gain international exposure which entitled them too showcase their single in foreign venues in places such as Ayia Napa, Malia, Ibiza and Germany. Platinum’s long time friend Exo Remedy ( The producer of Next Up) gave K-Sounds an alternative to their usual sound and joined the team. They followed up their single with the Next up 2 remix which featured a then younger Tinie Tempah, Messy,Spokeman and Mercston. They are still selling music today independently and have returned with their latest video "Guns and roses " which is taken from their new Ep release. Their latest 2011 release Ontogenesis E.P is now available on ITunes and various music outlets. Currently their music catalogue includes 3 underground Mixtapes, of "South Circular”, “The Freestyles" and "All or nothing" .
