Into The Oblivion
Redshift is a hard hitting, high energy rock band that was started in the summer of 2006 and has quickly become known as one of the best bands in the DC area. Through a fusion of alternative rock, hardcore, punk rock and heavy metal, Redshift has developed a sound not easily categorized. With heavy textured guitars, a hard hitting rhythm section and streaming melodic vocals, Redshift is a band which is defining its own niche in current “radio-friendly” music. Individually the members of Redshift have played all around the world including Europe, Asia and the USA. While quickly establishing themselves in only 2 years, Redshift has already played such well known venues as the 9:30 Club (DC) and the State Theatre (Falls Church, VA). Redshift's song Not Alone has been selected for two different indie movies. One is a local DC based horror film called "Women's Studies" starring Judith O'Dea. The second was a short film (also horror) called "The Beast in Me" filmed in Erie, PA which has won multiple awards.
